Mon., Feb. 27, 9:30 a.m. The Oak Ridges Trail Association is hosting a slow to moderate 2.5 hr. hike on the Secord/Goodwood Tracts. Bring icers or snowshoes as the weather dictates. Wed., Feb. 29 The Monday Morning Singers, a women's choir in Uxbridge, invites you to celebrate their 10th anniversary at Frankie's Ristorante, 1 Main Street South, Uxbridge, at an Open House from 6:30 till 9 p.m. Enjoy the display of Jane Buckles' delightful whimsical posters which have advertised the Monday Morning Singers concerts through the years. The show will hang into April. A jazz trio will entertain and there will be refreshments and a cash bar.

Sun., Mar. 4 Uxbridge Chamber Choir, under director Thomas Baker, presents one of the greatest choral masterworks, Brahms' "German Requiem" (to be sung in English), with soloists Grace Rogers (soprano) and Jonathan Liebich (baritone). North House and Community Churches will be holding a soup lunch on Wednesdays from 12 - 1:30pm at St. Andrew's-Chalmers Presbyterian Church. The lunches run through until March. Come enjoy some healthy, delicious soup! Pay what you can.

Greater Uxbridge Road Runners will once again be hosting race preparation clinics. These will help participants build towards the goal of sucessfully completing either the Uxbridge Half Marathon (21km), 10km or 5km races on April 22nd in support of the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Auxiliary. Nine week training programs suitable for both beginners and experienced runners will start on Monday 20th February. Handicapable 'Friends' Ministry returns weekly on Wednesdays from 7 - 8 p.m. at Trinity United Church, 20 First Avenue, Uxbridge.  For info call 905-852-6213.

Meditation at the Siloam Community Centre. Every first and third Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. For new and experienced practitioners, this session provides opportunity to develop and strengthen your practice. By donation, (905) 852-9974.

Wellness Thursdays happen every Thursday from 4 to 6pm at the Uxbridge Youth Centre. These workshops are an opportunity for youth to gather with their peers and discuss topics that are important to them including stress, relationships, anxiety, health and friendship just to name a few with Wellness Practitioner Heidi Walczak. Snacks are provided! Additionally, every Thursday at 5pm Dave the Guitar Guy will be at the UYC to provide FREE guitar lessons and educate youth on guitar repair, care and accessories. All skill levels are welcome!

Hospital Auxiliary “Chances Are” Store on Bascom Street accepting good winter clothing. Proceeds to Cottage Hospital.
